DIRECTOR

Hello my name is Leanne Thomey.

I have a degree in Child and Youth Care from the University of Victoria and an Early Childhood Administrators Certificate from Mount St. Vincent University.

I have worked in the field since 2000 and over 14 of those years have been with Fox Hollow. I have been a pre-school teacher, an after-school teacher, a family home consultant and now the Owner/Director of Fox Hollow.

I have 2 teenage boys, and it has always been my dream to own my own centre and it’s a privilege to be able to work with the staff and families of Fox Hollow. I truly believe we have a uniqueness that sets us apart.

Louanne MacRae

Hello, my name is Louanne MacRae, I have been an Early Childhood Educator since 1999. I have worked with children from 3 months to 12 years old, both in small and large centres in the Halifax area.

I’m thrilled to be a part of the team at Fox Hollow, and am enjoying the program immensely! In my spare time, I volunteer at a radio station in Eastern Passage, Seaside FM, as a news broadcaster and Saturday morning co-host.

I live in Boutilier’s Point with my partner, Donny. I have two grown children and rescue dogs… We spend a lot of time in the outdoors…fishing, camping, and exploring.

We want to give you the peace of mind that your child is not only safe but also learning and developing. That is why we have all our care providers complete a first aid certificate, receive a full criminal background check, and are checked against the abuse register.

At the centre, providers use a daily menu that is approved by the department of education.
